Braamfontein is a cultural point in our city that has the potential to be something greater than what it already is. Don't get us wrong, it's an amazing area (we like it so much we even put our store there) with the constant flow of visitors every weekend to the various unique restaurants, coffee shops, stores, clubs and the saturday Neighbourgoods Market. It's also the home to the PUMA After Hours Athlete.
As with any developing area it needs the help and enthusiasm from the public to help it grow into something that is defined by the people, and this is where you come in. We'd like to thank you for supporting Braamies on a regular basis, it's because of you that entrepreneurs and restaurants owners are starting to favour the area, building it into something special, something that defines us as residents of our beautiful city.
There's something for everyone to enjoy, so if you're looking for a party then swing past our ol' faithful PUMA Social Club Jozi; or experience the eclectic visions of music at Kitchener's; Great Dane (try their hot dogs, it's magical) have also introduced a dedicated disco and deep house night on Friday's with the Stereo Science parties (perfect after party for those rocking PUMA Social Club).
If you've had a night to remember throwing your name away at the clubs mentioned, Braamies will make up for it and help you respect the hangover with a great selection of eateries. 86 Public, the newest addition to the land, adds some flare to what is an international favourite, the pizza. Grab a fragrant cup of coffee at Post to give you a morning boost, and if you don't drink coffee we guarantee their desserts will rival those of your dear ol' granny. Neighbourgoods Market is the perfect example of what Braamfontein stands for: fashion, locally produced goods, great music and delicious food... let's not forget the variety of craft beer.
But wait... (there's more). Local, and inspired by the culture of the city, entrepreneurs and designers have taken to the street, 70 Juta Street to be exact. Urban Art Projects have their famous ROOM; the Kalashnikovv Gallery may have the piece you've been searching for; and the Lomography Embassy Store is your in to the urban photography scene.
Music. Fashion. Food. Design. Culture. Personality. Home.
Sometimes we've got to think about uplifting the entire environment and not just our own. We're a city that, according to many, are down-the-line and straight to business but we're also a city that looks out for one another and one that knows how to live like we're meant to.
With all that said, we officially dub thee a 'Braamfontein Knight'.
