PUMA SOCIAL CLUB JOZI: THE RETURN OF FRIDAY NIGHT
by PUMA
12H53, Wednesday 10 April, 2013
This week we return to Braamies, home, behind the mosaic doors and up the stairs. The place where Friday nights gained its definition and its reputation for being the haven of the common/lesser spotted After Hours Athlete. A place that didn't require you to pop your collar and call everyone "boytjie". The true definition of a Social Club.
We're sorry we lied. Telling you that we're closing for good... and then reopening, well maybe we're not that sorry. Now that we apologised and took it back let's get down to brass tacks.
Just as the Mack had done, we're returning with a fresher take: a wider variety of musical acts, tournaments of sorts where prizes of sorts can be won by all sorts, a bit of new this and a bit of new that. Yes, we're being intentionally vague about this because we want you to come and find out what's in store for round 2.
To open up PUMA Social Club Jozi this Friday, 12 April 2013, we have resident Matt Suttner warming things up on the decks; the helm will then be taken by Dirty Paraffin, a hip-hop-house-kwaito-bit-of-everything style that will release the raw dancer in you; the boogie-inducing Data Takashi will open it up and close it down for you.
2 Things to remember:
1. Don't forget to get there early to avoid the queue, we open at 17:00.
2. Use #PUMASocialJozi when you tweet.
See you on Friday, come find us we'll be the ones wearing shoes.
