The end of an era dawns as the reign of Puma Social Club Jozi nears to an end. Just 7 weeks remain for the true After Hours Athletes to leave their mark on a metropolis that has brought us revelry, epic ping pong matches against a well-dressed bear, hard fought Saturday mornings, photo booth memories and so much more.
Does this sound unfamiliar to you? Have your Fridays been taken up by: couples’ braais, movie dates or picnics-that-you-pretend-to-enjoy-but-really-hate? Now is your time to end all FOMO, to ensure that you are not the odd one out next time your friends discuss the queue-parties, the 5-for-one specials, and the best wings and wedges this side of the border (as if Zimbabwe has a better braai culture, ha).
This Friday sees the epic Kings of Pong competition reach the semi-final stage as teams Bazinga, China, PAKT and the Human-A-Titties go head-to-head for a shot at R20,000. Not in the competition? Fear not. We need you to rally the rookie by bringing your voice, cheerleader moves and best game faces as you support the best of the After-Hours-Athletes. What’s in it for you? Tweet the hashtag #KingsOfPong to stand a chance of winning spot prizes. We will also be on the lookout for the best supporters on the night, who could walk away with brand new kicks.
This Friday also sees one of the hottest lineups in the Club’s history. The ever-so-cool AKA comes in to light up the stage, bringing his rhymes and swag to kick off your weekend in style. Joining him we have Speedsta, as well as your favourite resident DJ, Matt Suttner.
