WE GOT BALLS
by PUMA

Imagine building a pop up club in downtown Jozi for 6 months with after hours sports like ping pong, pool and foosball and not having balls? We also have disco balls, they're pretty cool too.
Last week’s PUMA Social Club featured an exclusive guest appearance from Blk Jks, if you weren’t there you can check out the latest PUMA Social Club video here. If Rock ‘n roll is defined by (and we think it should be) a shirtless dreadlocked drummer hammering away like a machine, a bass guitarist threatening to stage dive from the subs and a lead singer who brings new meaning to the words ‘crowd control’ then we think Blk Jks got this formula just right. No words can describe the aural indulgence and raw energy created by this troupe of rockers. Friday’s support lineup was Fixx The DJ and DJ Ambush who provided a pretty damn thumping soundtrack to the rest of the evening.
So at PUMA Social Club Jozi we like to make it easy for you to party like a VIP, and to be honest, all you really have to do to achieve this is to sign up on our website and show up on a Friday night. One lucky person will take VIP to the next level this weekend though, and if you’ve been following our posts over the past few weeks it could well be you. If you haven’t lets fill you in, our brief was simple. Spend 500 bucks at our Braamfontein store (just up the road, smart.) and we may choose to give you a R1500 bar tab and queue skipping privileges at our next event. Well, the time has come to reveal our winner who is… (Idols style pause) we’ll tell you tomorrow. Stay locked to our social media channels – links at the bottom of this page – to find out the lucky winner.
Speaking of queues, as word has gotten around about PUMA Social Club in Jozi, we’ve become busier and busier. Being the smart individual you are for being on this emailer list, you probably already know that if you show up late, you might be in for a bit of a wait. This is why we invented beer o’clock (that was totally us, we swear) where you can get in to the club early, like any time from 5PM, and stand a much better chance of skipping the queue. We don’t hold a queue for fun, we’re genuinely pretty busy so if there’s an act (or hot prospect) you’re dying to see, make sure you arrive early.
At PUMA Social Club, along with our balls, we also got a whole lotta soul. That’s why this week we’ve decided to bring you a crew of some of Jozi’s most sought after recording artists. Their eclectic version of unique soul and raw live appeal is what made us think that they’d be perfect for a little shindig at our venue with 300 of our closest friends. This one is set to fill up fast so again, be there early.
We’re out, but remember we love to hear from you. Chat to us on Facebook or Twitter, send us your photos on Instagram. Hit us up. Bro.
